On this episode, Linda and Dana discuss what they learned from a recent mastermind with Gary Keller where he discussed how he approaches acquiring and investing in businesses. They discuss how he and his partner Mitch have lead generated in businesses unrelated to real estate through building relationships with business owners in areas they are both interested in. They talk about how it's important to think of yourself as a business owner and not just a Realtor who has a business, because you can be investing your money in other businesses and diversifying your income streams. They break down what they would look for in a partner to help generate investment leads and negotiation strategies when working on the terms of the investment.

On this episode, Linda and Dana talk to Katy Klesitz about how she went from 0 to 56 rental properties in less than 2 years. Katy shares how she grew up as a KW baby, with her parents both Realtors at Keller Williams. She went to college and tried a couple traditional jobs but would always get bored at them all and started selling real estate. After selling in Arizona, she met her husband who lived in California and she moved there with him and stopped selling when she had their two daughters. When her daughters got older, she wanted to get back to work but didn’t want to drive buyers around on her weekends. She and her husband Frank learned about the BRRR method of buying homes where you could buy multiple homes a year to keep as rental properties. With Buy-Renovate-Rent-Refinance-Repeat, Katy and Frank bought 56 properties in less than two years. She shares some of the mistakes she learned from along the way, and how she has helped partners in Texas build up rental properties as well. She also dives into how they specifically generate leads for properties to buy.
